I thought Wicked Part 1 was a great expansion to Oz… but Wicked: For Good? That was totally wicked!

"Weapons" is a horror, mystery film about 17 kids from the same classroom running away from home and disappearing. The film follows six characters perspectives, all living through the same timeframe during the disappearance of these kids. Plus how the antagonist’s effected all of them.

There’s been so much hype around this movie, and for good reason. It’s the film adaptation of one of the highest-grossing theatre musicals ever. Plus, the cast is stacked with names like Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, and Jeff Goldblum. And it’s directed by Jon M. Chu, who also did Crazy Rich Asians and In the Heights. That’s a pretty solid lineup.

I’m terrified of tornadoes, but there’s something about the 1996 Twister film that I just really gravitated to. Now we have a “stand-alone sequel” for Twister, and the fascination is right back.

This is my first Quiet Place film, so going into this film, all I knew was that the characters had to be quiet in order to survive. But because I attended an opening day fan event, I learned a little bit more about the franchise from quiz questions shown before the movie.
