I watched a Halloween-themed or horror movie every day in October 2024

"What's your favorite scary movie?" We all know that quote originates from the iconic "Scream" film. But if I had to answer, I'd probably say "Nope." Or maybe "Final Destination." "Psycho" is pretty awesome, too. The point I'm trying to make is that, I really enjoy scary movies.

I'm not one to only watch scary movies during the spooky season. But for the past couple of years, I just wanted to try and watch a horror or Halloween-themed film to really get into the spooky spirit. I had been seeing other people do it, so I figured it would be fun! But every year, I would start good, but never complete it. However, it finally happened this year. Unlike previous years, I didn't really have anything stopping me from watching a film every day. I had graduated and wasn't taking any trips out of town, so I just seemed like the right time.

My Spooky SZN watchlist included a few short films, some older films from the 70s and 80s, and even some new films that just released this year. Some films were my first time watching, and other films I probably watch every year. Also, a few films were probably more targeted for families, while others were straight up gore. But it was a fun experience to watch such a wide range of films despite them all being in the spirit of Halloween. Would I do something like this again? I guess it would depend on the circumstances, like if I have the time.
